Karla Field is an award-winning illustrator and toy designer with over 20 years of experience. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, and has worked as a Designer and Design Director at Mattel Toys, and Hasbro Toys.

Through her work in the toy industry, Karla spent many years conducting research and focus groups with children, and found this contact to be the most rewarding part of her career.

Inspired by her travels and her love of world cultures, Karla has personally developed numerous courses with a specific focus on the history, geography, and the crafts of each culture. Materials and processes unique to each culture will be explored in each topic session. She educates children aged eight to thirteen in her creativity workshops.
